Mission rank (mis)calculation & timing clarification

Hi all. I just submitted a run of Blow Up II. I appreciate how quickly it was added but it seems to be positioned incorrectly.

I did what the rules said. I started the timer once I had control after the mission started, I stopped the timer on the end cutscene flash, and I did the whole thing single player.

However, nothing in the rules for Blow Up II runs says anything about loads. The instructions clearly require timing without loads and yet the submissions have the option of a time with loads, a time without loads, or both. Trying to follow the rules laid out before me, I submitted a time without loads (1:20). I didn't put a time with loads because I didn't think I needed one (again, based on the rules on the leaderboard page).

Here's the issue. My time without loads is 1:20 and I'm up as rank 12. However, 11th place has 2:37 as a time with loads. Furthermore, rank 10 has 1:42 as a time with AND without loads (which doesn't make sense but then again neither does the discrepancy between the submission form and the written rules). Can someone please clarify why I'm not ranked 9th with that time?

I see, thats fixed now, the time was correct you just forgot to submit a time with loads which is the primary timing method

Thanks for the fix. I'm still finding the timing kinda confusing. Why is with loads the primary method if all of the timing seems to be done without loads? Does waiting at the end for the flash count as a load or something? And if that IS the measurement for with loads, what on earth is time without loads then?

Without loads is, as it says: without loading times. The leaderboard still follows the with loads time because there are not many people that submit their runs without loads.

In this video you can see when the loading starts the loadless timer stops until the loading is complete (timestamped link, it will show you exactly the part I mean):

For IL's this doesn't mean anything at all because for most of them there is no loading screens while the mission is still going.

Sorry for the late reply, basicly the reason why with loads is the primary method for measurement is due to the anti cheat. There was a time when R* Anticheat was so sensitive it would ban people for having anything that would even remotely read or write GTA:V memory. So we decided it was not worth the rist of discounting loads. In a game like this with so few runs it really doesnt matter about the loadless time.

iguana summery is correct basically load less is the time taken from the timer in which the script for livesplit detects you not on a mission, or if the loading variable has been triggered and stops the timer when loading and resumes when you gain control. IL have next to none loads beside the start so it doesn't matter.
