Greetings, i make this post regarding a forum post i did 1 year ago on SA Leaderboards about a proposal that apparently seems to be a potential addition for Category Extensions in GTA San Andreas.

The category in question that i was formerly requesting to add was called "All Races", this was mainly thought to be 4 categories; LS, SF, LV and LV Air Races. The main challenge of this category is to complete all the races on the "pack" of races in a row at the fastest time possible, without any specific order, hence you can choose to start from the hardest one and go on with the next ones, having to complete all of them in order to finish the run.

With "pack" i mean the pack of races that each city gives to you to complete.

Before requesting the category again i asked some runners again their thoughts about the category and if they can run it again, i had a couple of conclusions after this since the first thought i had about this category is to be included as IL on the main leaderboard, so the same principle as the individual races would apply in this case, this means you can do bloodbowl glitch to get 0 traffic in order to complete easily the races, this is a full run example by the runner @KanwaKanwa who offered his time to test the run to see if it was interesting enough, i know mods have the last word on it but i firmly believe this can be really fun and interesting.

This also means that you could start the run with max driving skill, i would lie if i try to explain what differences will this make on the run or if is a strong point to reject the suggestion, mods have last word on that too.

I really hope this can brought some attention to CE mods since races are something really interesting these days with a bunch of runners enjoying their time competing for best times on MTA, i agree we already have IL races to satisfy that need but this is more a consistency test than a grind one, thanks for reading and i would love to read any opinion about this!

I think that this would be a fun/competitive category with a lot of runs.

CE surely need something new, and this suggestion isn't that far-fetched like those "get max wanted stars as quick as possible !!" threads. I'd be down to run this like I did last time Ezekah proposed it as an IL.

Also how long ago was this? i'm pretty sure this would be even when original segments were here before, even that was much more interesting than the category im proposing right here, and at the status of SA right now, the only category with potential is mdv/mm, otherwise the game is pretty dead, that should be a concerning problem at this point, even when people is free to run whatever they want, more categories should be added in order to keep CE alive, not sure where the line is drawn between a meme and a normal category but surely most would agree with me when i say CE needs more categories.

And even if this was dead on arrival years and years ago, times changes and the current status of the leaderboard might be a good starting point to consider new categories that was forgotten back then.

In the past years many new runners have come around. One could revisit this idea again now, years later after the first "try-out". Because right now it seems there is interest from quite a few people to run this category.

Lately I've seen a lot of activity on MTA aswell, people just doing races hours on end. The people playing a lot of MTA might wanna take a shot at this category aswell, who knows?

Is there any other reason why this shouldnt be in leaderboard?

To be completely honest its sad to see this being partially ignored even though when it was noticed by some mods, we cant even have a proper discussion about it, and its even sad that this is not going to be the last time this is going to happen.

If you are willing to not add this on CE, at least take a bit of your time explaining why it shouldn't, i tried my best to explain all the positive points about this addition and feels really disappointing how it turned out even a week after being posted.

Any discussion has took place regarding this request? A yes or no would be enough.

No discussion has taken place in any channels I'm part of, which include meme mods and all mods on discord. If you ask around on the discord server instead, you might get some traction. Since someone has run it, I personally wouldn't be against adding it to the board, but I don't have a say or stake regarding this subject.
