As you can see by the title, we have finally reached the milestone of 1000 runs in this leaderboards after more than 2 and a half years and to commemorate it, here are some stats. The game was added the 16th January 2018 by Sapi, the first moderator of the game and it has been on speedrun.com for 3 years, 9 months and 29 days. From 2018 to August 2020, there wasnt too much activity as less than 200 runs were submitted in that period. After August 2020 (daan and Kkntucara becoming moderators) the game has seen 825 runs verified, which is a lot more than in the previous period 3 people have submitted more than 100 runs: Kkntucara, Daanolav and Kochen, and flip and yoshiyahu17 are really close to 100. The game has a total of 164 categories to compete for.Less than half had been played before August 2020. The oldest wr that still stands is Vulchaestus’s level 47 gold from the 21st of January 2019, the last one from the “calm” era. The 4 people with most wrs are Kkntucara, daanolav, yoshiyahu and flip_drr. This 4 runners alone hold 161 of the world records in the leaderboard. This game is more notorious for the IL speedruns as thats where 970 of the runs come from, and this ILs are very short and have an In Game timer, which means that ILs can be optimised very fast In comparison to other mobile games on speedrun.com golf zero is doing well. It has 300 less runs than SDD (from 2015) and 700 less than Cat Bird (2017) even though this games got to be the most speedran mobile games at some point. It also has 100 less runs than dadish (2020) but it beats dadish 2 by 300. Same thing with data wing which is about as old as Golf Zero. It also doubles super cat bros from 2016 and it has almost 10 times as many runs as the successor from 2018. It also beats Space Expedition by 860 runs, Swordigo by 730, Mangavania by 650 and Tap Tap speedrun by 250, so in the realm of mobile speedrunning golf zero isnt doing bad in runs. It does suffer in users at 74 runners, and only 19 followers meaning that runners on average submit more runs that other games, maybe because its more interesting. I dont think anyone will make it this far as this post is quite big (its also my 200th post) but thank you to everyone who has contributed to reach this goal and everyone who keeps finding cool starts and optimising each category.
