Dreamcast is Version 1 and 2 (increased level cap and Ultimate gamemode), Gamecube/Xbox is Version 3 (Ep1 is a remake of Ver 2, with the addition of Ep2), and Blue Burst (PC) is Version 4 (remake of Version 3 with another episode of content).

@SeydieSeydie Myself and Midge, a supermod on the other two reboot games, have spent over a month trying to get in contact with Doppie, but to no avail.

Currently for Rise of the Tomb Raider (https://www.speedrun.com/Rise_of_the_Tomb_Raider) there has been only one real active mod in the last few months (myself). The supermod has gone online from time to time, but has not validated any runs in a long time. The other mods are either never on or do not touch the runs. I've had a run pending for a month and another for over two months. I have tried contacting the supermod along with two others through Discord and Twitch with no success for almost a month. I request supermod so that I can find new active mods that won't leave runs in stasis for so long.

It is not possible to disable them on console, so they will always all be active.

You can still submit it. It'll undergo a lot of scrutiny to confirm that it wasn't on Easy, since that's banned, and if the mods deem that it's still valid, then they'll accept it. Good for asking, but given the situation, it's best to leave it in the mods' hands and they'll figure it out.

Wolf Cave skip is already provided in Brass's initial list.

Last Radio Skip

Crazy legs is the most advanced technique in all of TR2013's arsenal. I hope you are fully prepared for the intensity that will impact your retinas when you look upon this ancient video that is the treasure trove of information for the performance of this glitch. It will take months and months of intense repetition and training in order to be able to perform this glitch even one single time. I hope you are ready, because if not, it will destroy you.

Again, one thing I want to be clear on is that this isn't a Skipless category, it's Glitchless. Even if it means skipping a large portion of the game, it is still not using glitches, therefore it is allowed. Regardless of what is skipped, because glitches are not being actively performed, the skips are okay. Also, the points you made for skips that shouldn't be skipped are strictly for how you prefer, rather than potentially being banned due to glitch/OOB use. As Brass said before, "the Ocarina of Time rule set have a wonderfully worded section in their rules: "This category aims to ban things solely based on the techniques used, not the results of those techniques. To the extent that common sense allows, we may explain this as: 'If the means are not a glitch, neither are the ends.' So if you do not perform a glitch, you may skip any part of the game, regardless of how important."

If you have a problem with specific skips, bring forward any glitch or OOB that is used rather than mixing in personal preferences, since this rule set applies to every person who will run this category, and not just yourself. If you prefer to not do skips for personal/sentimental reasons, then all the power to you. Otherwise, they will be allowed until there is some other reason to revise the list.

We came to the conclusion that there were multiple times that scrambles jumps could be used in ways that are glitchy, such as house skip. Meanwhile there are other ways that could be done such as the animation cancel at the beginning. Instead of saying "some of these are okay and some of these are not," we just decided to make it so that all of them are banned so that the rules don't get exceedingly complicated. There may be small exceptions as time goes on, but for the moment, we created a list that we thought was going to be good enough to cover as much as possible in terms of what is and is not a glitch. If one instance of a mechanic could be used in a way that was considered a glitch, it got banned along with all other instances of such a mechanic, as was the fate of the scramble jump.

As for what does and does not go, anything that required an unintended mechanic such as skywalk, iceskating, door clipping, up clipping, etc. are not to be used in gameplay for this category. These would be considered glitches because they require coding quirks that we abuse in the game rather than being something intentionally placed by game designers. Using basic jumps and/or other simple mechanics (which brought up the question of scramble jumps) IS allowed in the use of runs. Since you can use basic jumping to skip areas, you aren't using any glitches to move about the world.

By default, all skips are allowed in gameplay. If said skip involves a glitch or abuse of unintended mechanics, it and all instances of such mechanics were banned. Scramble jumps have a few scenarios that can be used in a glitchy manner, and as such, were removed from being used.

Thread: All Collectibles vs. 100%

I feel like both are valid categories, since doing the Baba Yaga mission adds a lot of time, and requires more optimatization for the challenge and all the collectibles.

Either way, I guess the final verdict is 100%? And we'll decide later on if we want a 100% DLC and 100% Base category. I'll start mapping a route over summer.

100% would be all missions, all collectibles, all challenges, and all challenge tombs completed. I do not believe we will involve achievements, since that would mean that you would have to make a different profile each time if you want to realistically gain all the achievements every run. I'm also not sure if having all the ability and weapon upgrades, so otherwise those are off the table.

So with that question out of the way, do you have any final verdict on what the category would be then? Main Game All Collectibles or "100%," as in non-DLC 100%.

Does that mean include the entire Wicked Vale is out? Cause you can't freely roam the Vale and get the collectibles without doing the mission.

Edit: I'm not completely aware if you can enter the Wicked Vale without finding Nadia first. So I don't have any input, and I can't put time into finding it out until mid-June, since finals for me are coming up.

So after running through the beginning part again, the Lock Pick only provides access to more resources and crafting items, so all the collectibles can be obtained without the need for any missions. But I believe you have to, at the minimum, do the Baba Yaga mission in order to get All Collectibles. As far as I can tell, there is only one mission that you need to complete in order to get all of the collectibles.

For other arguments, All Collectibles would cut out some of the missions, so it'd be less time-consuming and only involve a select few missions, if any at all, since I'm not 100% sure if the lock pick is needed to get some relics. I need to double check that. All Missions would cut out all collectibles, but since there is the mission that requires beating all the challenge tombs, it'd be a little time consuming, and still require some extra items, such as the Re-breather. There could also be an All Challenges category, since that wouldn't involve (I think) any missions or collectibles. And 100% is just a combination of everything. As of this moment, those are the only category options I can think of besides specific individual things like Relics and Documents, which would be annoying. Or even a Cache category could be interesting, but I digress. Either All Collectibles, All Missions, All Challenges, or 100%.

So then which category would prevail? All Collectibles or 100%, or even an All Missions?

I assume it'd be All Collectibles, since it'd be less tedious.

Would it make sense to have these be two separate categories, since 100% involves all the missions, and each of those takes a lot of time? Also, since All Collectibles involves a few missions, for items like the Lock Pick in order to collect some relics, which would require at least one to be done.

Moderator message;
This thread is for all of your questions about running the game, please don't create new threads, just post them under here.

Original Post: So I know these are probably easy for people like Anthony and Yoranto, but I've had trouble with the consistency, and I wanted to know if there were consistent ways to do it, as I see in all your streams.

Strong attack (such as during the first soldier area with Marlene), removing the animation for Joel diving in the water (right after escaping the Capitol or the Underground Tunnel), and picking up multiple items with one grab animation.

Any information would be helpful.
