This video showcases the Trickster build versus the Reaper build when it comes to boss killing speeds. The Trickster video was taken from an example run I did and the Reaper video was taken from the WR run of Gribboro. As you can see the video shows each build having edges on each other depending on the boss fight. At the time Reaper was considered undeniably better for Ashes of Malmouth, but a transmuted Phantasmal Blade hadn't been tried much at that point which I was experimenting with. Untransmuted it was clearly slower in almost all cases. Trickster is still less reliable than Reaper since it requires a lot more mana.
