NehkRohw, I understand that you want to make changes to the leaderboard, but to make changes out of the blue and delete everyone's runs is not the way to do this. Also, to change the categories and subcategories and make them a mess is also not the way to do this. Personally, I would get rid of Defeat runs completely, and turn the categories and subcategories back to what they were before, and add Shadow Plague and All Plagues as subcategories to the leaderboard would be the way to go, also adding the IGT level leaderboardn as well.

Will the Xbox One, PS4, and Switch (whenever the Switch version comes out), be added to the list of consoles/versions on the SRC page? (Not asking for subcategories, just for them to be added to the versions list) The reason I ask for this is because in the future there probably will be someone on XB1, PS4, or Switch who will want to speedrun the game, then they will see on the SRC page that there’s only PC listed for the versions.

Pretty much what @TwitchName said, games usually don’t need more mods to verify runs, and if they do, there will be a mod application most of the time, but SMB and SMB CE doesn’t need any more mods at this point, since the current group of mods can handle the amount of runs in the verification queue.

I’m just making assumptions, so this could be wrong, but I think Romain stepped down as mod and got someone to fill in for him, and in this case, Shadows.

Ok, so I decided to add you as a regular mod, and remove Wowie.wow, as he probably won’t return.

A few months ago, I submitted a run to https://www.speedrun.com/The_Battle_Cats (The Battle Cats), and it hasn’t been looked at yet. (Neither verified or rejected) He has no videos on YouTube anymore, and I can’t contact him via his listed Discord either. I made a forum thread a while ago, and unsurprisingly he didn’t respond to it. Also, he hasn’t checked his SRC profile in 4-5 months.

Speaking of active runners... this game needs more of them, because there’s basically no competition. In fact, the amount of times that aren’t from me, from around the past four months, is 1. It is really sad, since this game is very runnable for RTA, and there are even decently active Steam discussion pages for this game, including a page for fastest IGT for every plague, every scenario, and even Co-Op, which was posted a few days ago. (Note 1: The reason for the page is that the game has a bunch of leaderboard hackers.) (Note 2: However, Co-Op leaderboard page has been a thing for at least several months.)

Even though they may say no, an important thing to know is if you get added as a mod, some people retime their runs to the exact frames of the beginning and ending. Another thing is that timing starts once red play bubble is clicked.

That’s actually a good point, since they could still add new plagues, but maybe the mods could add the different subcategories, by marking it as either the evolution number the newer plagues released on (aka Initial release, Evolution 8, etc.), or mark the different subcategories as the final plague. This is the solution I would propose.

Wowie Wow, how come you haven't looked at my run, after almost 2 months? All I care about at this point is that my run at least gets looked at, regardless of acceptance or rejection of my run. Please respond within a week or two, as I currently think you're probably inactive. :/

I do understand your perspective, however, I retime my runs so that the time actually starts on the frame the game starts, and the reason I start the timer slightly early is so that I have an easier time retiming my run. After the actual run, I then check the first frame the game starts, then, I subtract that beginning time (where I started the timer early) from the time that the first frame of the Victory screen appears. If you were to download the video, and analyze it in a video editor which you can go frame-by-frame, with the same method, you would get the same time. Although I do hope more people speedrun this game, quite likely, a lot of people won’t retime their runs. For my run, the first frame of the Victory screen was at 54.81 on my run, so then, I subtracted the 0.22 seconds from starting early to get 54.59 seconds. I’ve done this since my run of Bacteria (Casual) in 1:29. Me starting early on my timer isn’t because of laziness, it’s to make retiming easier. So, the reason you rejected my run, starting 0.22 seconds early, I already accounted for. (aka removed the 0.22 seconds from my final time) I’m sorry my original post wasn’t clear enough (I’m being genuine), I’m just clarifying what I do for retiming my runs. On a side note, congrats on your PB :)
