Emulators are currently banned because of loading times and inconsistent speed with the Dolphin emulator. Having emulators allowed would make everything a whole more complicated and less competitive.
However, I do agree that for people like you, there should be some kind of limit. Maybe maybe allow EMU except for sub 4 on any%, sub 8 in 120 and sub 12 in 242?
I think this is something to think about, however, if the current rules were kept, I would fully understand as it does make it a whole lot harder to moderate and I believe speedruns should be done on the actual hardware it is intended for.
I would suggest submitting the current runs that are on SDA to get an actual good source for runs ASAP. Then we'll go search for better ones. It's currently really misleading to new players who do not know about CS/SDA. While there are perhaps better runs out there, in the meantime, we would have a baseline for new players to run against. Regardless, linked SDA times are already super optimized. I've looked through the SDA table and I've only found one inaccurate star, which was Flip-Swap C, and I have fixed it when I found a faster completion out there (even though there is most likely better).
I think we can be sure about it being at least close to the record if the IL was done by people like you, Nemi, Vallu, Packattack, AEK or shunkloar.
Forsa, why not just submit every run that's on the SDA wiki? There are literally just 242 stars. It would maybe take an hour or two at most and make the world records accurate (according to video proof).
Sadly, you can't. Only moderators can. I've spoken to moderators about this and all they've said is they "might do it". AEK has submitted a few legacy IL runs, but not all of them.
9 star actually has a logical goal: dont skip first bowser or ddd. what is the point of 8? skip ddd after getting 8? that's what I meant by pointless.

I just wanted to take the time to thank the moderators for the recently added rules to this leaderboard.
It honestly was starting to get pretty annoying to see very high but suspicious scores and while this new rule surely got rid of many legitimate high scores (e.g. my 179 clones), I think it's a lot better for the integrity of the leaderboards and I totally agree with it and think it's a great decision.
I have seen these, and I have decided not to submit them as they do not show the final time at the end.
It's a fan-made place to be able to submit runs. As the server leaderboards are not necessairly the most reliable, we decided to make this a place to find runs with video proofs.
