Lord Tom Route Five Year Anniversary Challenge

I am offering a 500$ reward to the first person who can defeat any% in sub 27 and 500$ to the first person to sub 28 any% NoUP+A in Zelda 1 using the Lord Tom Route 3,4,1,5,8,2,7,6,9. I am rewarding 100$ for the first person to get a sub 30 on any% and 100$ for any% NoUp+A sub 30 on the LTR for incentive to set the course. I believe this route(Lord Tom Route/LTR) is faster than the current WR route; it requires elite Zelda runners in the top 50 ranks to master it. Lord Tom mentions he could have got the White sword on his TAS, and maybe that would help with 8? Please consider. Thanks

I will say this: you're not wrong. This IS the future route. The problem is that this route is EXTREMELY volatile and that there is still time to save on the current WR routes. I've looked into this route with manipulation and it IS possible, but it would be a gigantic timesink and commitment for any Zelda runner to sub-29, let alone sub-28. You'd have to re-learn level 8 with white sword and less hearts... then stick with white sword for the rest of the run... it wouldn't be easy.

If you added a 0 to that sub-27 any% and sub-28 no up+a goal... you MIGHT get some interest... maybe... but not from me, not right now :P

(As an aside: I still think the mamba can be fastest of all the routes ESPECIALLY if you went 3-4-8-2, but it needs some route tweaking and manip backups to make it work. someday I'll return... I'm sure I will haha. The problem with 3-4-8-2 is the fact you have to menu, so you lose the manip the moment you bomb the first wall in 8... and 3-4-2 is fast but not fast enough to justify without manipping all the way to recorder)
