The time saved is greater than the time to set it up. Otherwise, people wouldn't do it unless they're just trying to show off.

You can tell if you watch for example, i_o_l's run vs. for exanple, Arcus's run. The only difference is in 8-2 (and Arcus having a better 8-4 by 3 frames)
