𝕂𝕖𝕪 𝔹𝕚𝕟𝕕𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕤

By default this game goes with a directional keys layout (which is not at all awkward for a game that came out the same year when every other FPS developer had basically agreed upon the WASD, or to a lesser extent JSDF layouts). Bit of advice, besides rebinding for modern WASD controls, bind crouch to the RMB. It's a necessary part of most runs and that is convenient.

ℂ𝕣𝕠𝕦𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘

This is the bread and butter of most tricks in the game. To do gliding, you walk off a ledge and start tapping crouch. Holding run when running off a ledge then immediately tapping crouch allows you to move faster in the air, but losing the rhythm cancels out the speed boost of the run function.

Conversely, jumping then holding crouch buffers crouch for when you land, and amusingly, the crouch animation overrides the death animation, meaning you can jump then crouch and when you land from a high place, you won't die and will be in a death state where enemies ignore you and you can't pick items up. This can make most levels impossible to complete, sadly.

Careful where you crouch, sometimes you can start uncrouching and get trapped in a ceiling, requiring a reset of the level or loading a save.

𝕁𝕦𝕞𝕡𝕚𝕟𝕘

You can jump up walls and most surfaces. There's admittedly no reliable method to the madness, but you get a rhythm for running or walking into walls and holding jump to get the right upward motion. Some surfaces can be more agreeable than others, it's mostly down to wiggling a little when you do jump into a wall. Naturally, this breaks the sequencing in many levels, or outright skips certain things.

Bunnyhopping is not really a thing in this game, it seems running when on ground is the fastest method of getting around in this game, second to glide running when in the air.
