English: First of all, i apologize for my bad english :( I am currently doing a complete guide to "Pirates! Gold ", but at the moment I would like to make a mini-guide referring to one of the most important factors of the game and of which there is not much information: the titles. The titles are an essential factor in the game, since each time we obtain a new title we will be given a clue to find one of our missing relatives, in addition to this, if we reach the title of baron it will mean that we obtained a title from the nobility (which is one of the 10 objectives to win the game), and at the same time, the greater our title, it will be easier for us to get married. The titles are won attacking ships or towns that are at war with our allied country, here is a list of the different titles and the number of ships / towns that we must attack to gain such rank: Ensign = 1 enemy ship or town Captain = 3 enemy ships or towns Major = 5 enemy ships or towns Colonel = 7 enemy ships or towns Admiral = 9 enemy ships or towns Baron = 11 enemy ships or towns Something important to keep in mind is that we can attack the same town over and over and each attack will count; for example, one tactic that I use is to look for a city without fort (as this saves us the battle in ship and we will go directly to the battle with swords) and then I constantly attack it until obtaining the necessary number of victories to obtain a new title .

There are other factors to be taken into account, but I want to clarify that I could not investigate them in depth, so there may be information not so accurate.

• One factor to keep in mind is that the titles are not cumulative; for example, if I attack 4 ships and towns we will not be given the title of Ensign and Captain, instead we only get the title of Ensign. I'm not sure if we will later be required to have a smaller number of ships and towns attacked to achieve the rank of Captain.
• Another factor that serves to raise the title are the missions commissioned by the kings or deliver pirates to our allied country. As I understand, the missions could be worth the same as attacking 3 enemy towns or ships, which would save us valuable time when it comes to get new titles, but after doing tests to verify this I could not reach any conclusion. I know that they could be worth the same as 3 attacks on enemy ships or towns because I noticed that in an old run of mine, but when I tried to test that I did not get the same results; in many cases it counted as 1 single attack, and in others I even thought that they were raising the required level of attacks on enemy towns or ships. Maybe the values obtained by the missions are random and some may even be worth as a half attack, it is something that I should study in depth, but for the moment I will leave aside. The same happens with the case of handing pirates to our allied country.

Español: Actualmente me encuentro realizando una guía completa de “Pirates! Gold”, pero de momento me gustaría dejar una mini-guía referente a uno de los factores más importantes del juego y del cual no existe mucha información: los títulos. Los títulos son un factor esencial en el juego, ya que cada vez que obtenemos un nuevo título se nos dará una pista para encontrar a uno de nuestros parientes perdidos, además de esto, si llegamos al título de barón significará que obtuvimos un titulo de la nobleza (lo cual es uno de los 10 objetivos para ganar el juego), y al mismo tiempo, mientras mayor sea nuestro título, nos será más fácil contraer matrimonio. Los títulos se ganan atacando barcos o ciudades que se encuentran en guerra con nuestro país aliado, he aquí una lista de los distintos títulos y la cantidad de ciudades/barcos que debemos atacar para ganar dicho rango: Ensign = 1 barco o ciudad enemiga Captain = 3 barcos o ciudades enemigas Major = 5 barcos o ciudades enemigas Colonel = 7 barcos o ciudades enemigas Admiral = 9 barcos o ciudades enemigas Baron = 11 barcos o ciudades enemigas Algo importante a tener en cuenta es que podemos atacar la misma ciudad una y otra vez y cada ataque contará; por ejemplo, una táctica que yo uso es buscar una ciudad sin fuerte (ya que esto nos ahorra la batalla en barco y pasaremos directamente a la batalla con espadas) y entonces la ataco constantemente hasta obtener el número necesario de victorias para obtener un nuevo título.

Existen otros factores a tener en cuenta, pero quiero aclarar que no investigue en mucha profundidad los mismos, así que puede haber información no tan certera. -Un factor a tener en cuenta es que los títulos no son acumulables; por ejemplo, si ataco 4 barcos y ciudades no se nos dará el título de Ensign y Captain, sino que se no dará solamente el de Ensign. No estoy seguro si luego se nos requerirá un número menor de barcos y ciudades atacadas para lograr el rango de Captain. -Otro factor que sirve para subir de título son las misiones encargadas por los reyes o entregar piratas a nuestro país aliado. Según tengo entendido, las misiones podrían valer lo mismo que atacar 3 ciudades o barcos enemigos, lo cual nos ahorraría valioso tiempo a la hora de subir de título, pero luego de hacer pruebas para comprobar esto no pude llegar a ninguna conclusión. Sé que las mismas podrían valer lo mismo que 3 ataques a barcos o ciudades enemigas porque lo conté en base a un run mío antiguo, pero cuando quise poner a prueba eso no obtuve los mismos resultados; en muchos casos me contaba como 1 solo ataque, y en otros incluso me pareció que subían el nivel requerido de ataques a ciudades o barcos enemigos. Tal vez los valores obtenidos por las misiones sean aleatorios e incluso puede que algunas valgan como medio ataque, es algo que debería estudiar en profundidad, pero de momento dejaré a un lado. Lo mismo se da con el caso de entregar piratas a nuestro país aliado.

Eso es todo, espero haber echado un poco de luz sobre este tema y que esta guía sirva para que más gente se sume al juego; cualquier consulta no duden en recurrir al foro del juego.
