Does anyone have any knowledge, how "not" to fail the Explosive Situation dupe by the cars not flipping?

It's random, and no known way to make it any more consistent (besides maybe toggling FPS nowadays, not sure if it's been tested yet)

i've seen faulux turn to Bounce FM, he also had a reminder to do so in LiveSplit. I think that gives more consistency

The way I do it is by capping the game to 3 fps when entering the marker during the fade-in. then I look the lines in the bottom right that show your location and press a couple of times the space bar until the lines disappear and immediately uncap the game to 60 fps. Here is a showcase:
