Rlly how do you expect people to be able to do all custom nights on very hard difficulty in one run? (Especially golden freddy)
The point of it being there is to add an extra challenge for a runner who wants that sort of challenge, but it is not required. It's there for completing the game in its entirety if people want to do that. Scott Cawthon made a similar remark about the Golden Freddy mode as well, stating, "...don't view it as something that is required to "finish" the game. It's there for people who want to try the impossible and see how long they can last!"
That's also why the page has categories like "3-Star" and "4-Star" for those who want to speedrun the game, but end at a certain point. 3-star would be completing the "main game" entirely, 4-star is completing the "main game" along with the "extra" Golden Freddy challenge on Very Hard since it gives you the 4th star without having to complete the other 9 challenges. Additionally, dying in the progress wouldn't nullify the run, but it is possible to complete under a day or below regardless.
I wish these speedruns were split between - Audio Skip and no Audio Skip its so boring having all runs just skip audio
Ok thats not my point its just boring to skip gameplay elements with having 0 audio but ig it makes sense
To have a No Audio Skip category would defeat the purpose of having a speedrun in general. As now all runs are at a set limit, 20 minutes (due to current Real Ending WR) + All the Audio durations. The worst case especially would be Night 4, as the opening dialogue is PAINFULLY long. While yes 100% must be 1:20:00 minimum (technically 1:25:00 again due to Real Ending WR [20 mins] + Fake Ending Night [8 mins ish] and All 10 V. Hard Custom Nights [60.5 mins), having ALL runs have that limit would defeat the point of a speedrun. UCN has at least SLIGHT variance due to menuing.
