I recently became the 19th person to acheive the any% world record, and it got me thinking, have we reached the limit? And if not how much faster can we go? and what are the limits for both 2 star and 100%?
Any% has hit its limit. Due to it not relating to load times and it starts on the exact frame and ends on the exact frame, With it all being timed. Its most likely impossible, Unless some new discovery happens but I doubt it. 2 star is pretty fast as it is but can be faster with better mouse placement and better timing with the resets. 100% just needs better reset timing and setting the A.I levels faster. I cant say for sure how much faster the times can get.
I kinda figured with any% having a nearly 20x tied WR that it was likely at its limit unless there's some discovery that allows night skipping or something. I think 2 star can get around 54:39 but beyond that idk. 100% doesnt have too much to go either, maybe 63:5X but that maybe a stretch as well.
night skipping is already a thing but its banned, 2 star can only go down another like .2, and 100% like 1 or 2 seconds
