Thinking about doing some on either the pc or ps4 but i dont see a spot for it on the leaderboard is it just not a run anymore or has no one done it yet? did one a few years ago but it was segmented and wanna try to go for an all in one go.
It was removed due to no one running the category. If there's a mass uprising of people wanting to run the category again it could be added back.
I'm currently doing some NSG pc stuff. I would think if 2 or 3 people get a run done soon. It could be added.
Ive never tried a full speed run but I think it would be fun to learn and optimize. Always got distracted with blitzball lol. Ill see if I can get one done for you guys :)
It all depends on the route and the length of the run. but this honestly sounds like my kinda category with this game, what I hate most is that sphere grid, if it can be routed out possible with a reasonable time I would run it too
I have notes for you guys if you'd like. but you'd also need to know Luke's any% route that they're based off of.

I think ive decided to go the ps4 route. I finally got everything setup at least minimally enough to work for now and will try a few casual runs first to figure out how I want to go about it. I could not find a nsg guide anywhere but I rememer a few parts from when I tried it out years ago lol. I will take a look at the any% guides and see what I can come up with. I do have the pc version as well so maybe that will come later on once I get the feel of everything again. One question though in the ps2 section that has nsg runs in the rules it says except flee. Does that mean we can level and get flee but none of the other nodes except for cheer that is in the tutorial of the grid?
Also would a death be considered end of run? As in if you make a save during the run right before a risky ass boss and he kills you in before you even get a chance to do anything due to rng, would you be able to load that save and make one more try before having to restart. I know thats not exactly speedrun friendly as you would lose a lot of time doing but nsh is kind of a rough run already...
Well I died in a booster% blind run (don't wanna talk about it) and they allowed me to load my autosave and go back in.
I feel if the save is made DURING a run and it is openly seen you making it. they will allow it. seeing the timer is still going when you reload the save. its only hurting you at that point .
Cause come on, this game is 7-20 hours depending on the category. It would really suck having a death or a crash and not even be able to continue say Hour 6..
In FFX, you're allowed to save or re-load the autosave as many times as you want, FFX is RTA and not single segment. (As long as the timer's still going)
You can load a save that was made during the run. the timer just can't stop. Hell one time, I had such a bad migraine while learning nemesis I took a 3 hour nap. then came back to it. my timer just never stopped so it was cool. though that won't ever happen again obviously. but yeah. any save during the run is okay. though none of the top players make saves obviously. unless you're talking nemesis%. that shit is risky. LUL
same rules. flee is permitted. also fyi, cheer is only in tutorial. it doesn't carry. so once you get flee. that's it. I mean...i guess youcould go to the sphere grid and move characters...for some reason. but as long as you don't activate anything. it's cool.

I might try it on pc too eventually. Found out you cant skip the cut scenes on ps4. Kind of annoying because it makes an already long run longer but still gonna go for it. IDK how well my pc will handle streaming ffx and playing at the same time. Right now im streaming the remote play app from the ps4 so its not weighing down the pc that much.
