After one year lurking streams, and following the announcement of the PC version release, I've decided to try and learn the game... and fail miserably in the process. Even though I play on the PSN PAL version and I follow the excellent notes by Mrzwanzig, I feel this is going to take me a lot of time, blame my incompetence haha
So far, two tries, two deaths:
1st- Died on Sealion after healing two times with hi-potions (I need to get used to the fixed cursor), and I thought Tsumani would come one turn later than it did.
2nd- Died on Evil Forest, I was caught looking at the notes after Plant Brain (which it ended up solo'd by Blank), the Spiders caught me, I only revived Zidane, killed Blank for XP, then forgot to heal Zidane thinking I've already done the mandatory encounter. Ups.
Tomorrow I will try and finish Disc 1 at least... Let's see in how many creative ways I can screw up a run of this game
Maybe Zwanzig need to add max damage from sealion.
Max damage with blackwaltz + sealion is 60. ( if no mistake ) Max damage solo Sealion is 36 ( blizzard ). Max damage when yellow gem = 99 Max damage Red gem = 117
then you know when potion, i guess :) but don't worry you will get it ^^
Thanks for the advice! I'm saving now here and there so I can practice boss battles and such... Some more full tries:
3rd Died to Gizamaluke, 4th tent failed, water all x2
4th Fell to my death without retrieving Germinas Boots. Apparently pressing circle doesn't work if you use the stick on the PS3 controller, but now I now hahaha I advanced a little bit to finished Disc one for the first time yeah! (time was about 3h30m)
That's the thing with being a n00b, Sealion should be easy by following the notes, but if I step away from them because I've made a mistake... then I don't know how to improvise :D long road ahead!
Yeah you need use d-pad for germinas + O or maybe push less your stick to make zidane walk.
And guiza is just a run killer.
