Categories revamp proposition [Edit: Done]

Hi all !

As I was reviewing some of the new runs, I noticed a few things about the way categories are set up right now that could be improved.

The problems with the current categories

The most noticeable problems I see with the current categories are :

  • Some categories are misnamed, or are at least very confusing. For example, "Book I" refers to a New Game run, meaning actually starting the game from zero, and has a "New Game +" variant where you can use the heroes you already have. So by that logic, what would "Book II" be ? It's actually a NG+ mode too, but it's implicit since it would be weird otherwise. But that's not in the category's name.
  • Some categories are way more popular than others. For example, there's a single "Book I + II" run which is placed as the 3rd most important category, meawhile "Defeat the Stratums" hass over twenty but is relegated to the 2nd page of runs.
  • Some categories that follow the same logic as existing ones doin't exist. Where's Book III, IV and V ?

To solve these problems and breathe some fresh air, I propose an overhaul of the way runs are categorized. The goal is to keep all of the current runs relevant in their own category, mostly just renaming the categories, making rules more explicit, and adding the missing categories.

The proposition

Having all of that in mind, here's all of the actions that result :

  • Because runs with your actual heroes are way more popular than runs starting a new game, I'll remove the "(New Game +)" name of the current categories to make them the default, and add "(New Game)" to categories which require a fresh account to play.
  • "Book I + II" has a single run ever. Is the category still relevant given that there are five books now ? I'm thinking about archiving it. What do you think ?
  • I'll add the "Book III", "Book IV" and "Book V" categories
  • I'll add a variable in all "Book X" runs : The difficulty. That makes people able to compete in difficultiess as subcategories if they want to (or if they somehow find a way to make a Lunatic run faster than Normal)

The goal

The goal of these changes is to actually push popular categories to the forefront of the page, remove the dead ones, and having difficulties as subcategories will also allow people to have variants of their preferred categories to compete in.

Any feedback ?

What do you think ? I really think this is a good step forward and I'll gladly hear this community's opinion on it. If there's no pushback, I'll probably won't wait too much to apply the changes since there are runs awaiting verification that I don't want to put in the wrong place.

Thanks for your time
