Timer decimal values

Georgia, USA

NTSC

Valid: 0, 1, 3, 5, 6, 8
Invalid: 2, 4, 7, 9

PAL

Valid: 0, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8
Invalid: 1, 3, 7, 9

These are the values the game may award for the final digit in the decimal (centiseconds) for in-game times. The game will never give a time ending in 7 or 9, on any version. Times ending in 1 or 3 only occur on NTSC, while times ending in 2 or 4 only occur on PAL.

Observed values currently on the board. There is at least one "valid" NTSC time missing (61), but I suspect this is just a coincidence. If anyone has a time ending in a 61 saved on their cart, let me know (Edit: 61 has been confirmed valid).

I found a 61

Georgia, USA

Would like to mess around with PAL and see what values are possible there. I need to see if 1 and 3 (and 5) are possible on PAL or if you get 2 and 4 instead.

Uh wasn't the Japanese runners best Kyoto a 61 and my run with the WR lap on Kyoto was a 61

61 is possible, I just hadn't seen one yet while compiling this and wanted to make sure.

Now I need to check on PAL and see if it will ever give you a 1, 3, or 5.

OK, I think I've confirmed that 5 is possible on PAL, and still haven't seen any 1s or 3s on PAL.

Used this to find a bunch of cheaters on cyberscore. Mostly low-ranked times submitted in late 2005, probably just to farm site points. There was one time that ended in a 7 which was submitted in 2016 and is still a top 3 time there. I've reported that one to the admins of the site.
