Timing starts on File Select and ends on defeating Klepto.

Collect the following power moons in your run: Bird Flying Through The Desert Bird Flying Through The Wastes (Only obtainable after defeating Knucklotec) Lost Butterfly Moon

It's called Bird% because you collect all the Bird Moons of these kingdoms in addition to Rescuing Cappy. This could be extended to all Bird moons total but I feel like that would make the run boring, unenjoyable, and not ran.

The run time would be somewhere between 20-30 minutes.

EDIT: Okay, I just went and did a Bird% Test Run. Some helpful things I discovered:

-Cap, Cascade, Lake, and Wooded are all Any% -Sand and Lost are Unique to this Category -You need to fight 2 bosses in Sand Kingdom (Hariet and Knucklotec) -Sand Kingdom in Bird% needs a better route (I just came up with one off the top of my head during the run, so I'll be working on Routing Sand) -Fastest Lost Route So Far is Meme Tree and skip the first moon, go directly to butterfly moon and take it, and then Long Jump onto Solid Ground to get your hat stolen. Ground Pound Jump on to the area where you get the Exploding Arm Moon by breaking two rocks and then Ground Pound Jump again on the Grass up onto the area where Klepto is. Rescue Klepto and Dive to Cappy.

I did a Test Run in 37:45 using the strats above along with a completely random Sand Kingdom. This category can definitely go under 30 Minutes and probably will peak at around 26 Minutes

Here is a good route I think: Sand (clips) Bird+Tower (2) Top of the Stone archway (3) (Checkpoint)+Block + leaning tower + Use Bullet to go to Luggage (5) Luggage(6) Pyramid clip Secret of the pyramid (7) Boss (10) T,p to checkpoint Fall into hole goomba stack (11) Treasure chest (12) Boss (15) Warp to Checkpoint near Bullet Bill Launcher. Take Bullet Bill and go to Bird Around The Wastes (16)

Without Clips:

1. Overlooking the Desert Town
2. Bird Traveling the Desert
3. Alcove in the Ruins
4. Secret of the Mural (Touch Tower Flag)
5. Atop the Highest Tower
6. Moon Shards in the Sand (Warp to Tower)
7. Jaxi Ruins (GRAB Checkpoint to warp during Night and for Bird Flying Around the Wastes)
8. Secret of the Inverted Mural 9-11. Showdown on the Inverted Pyramid (Warp to Tower) (Multi Moon)
9. Underground Treasure Chest 15.. The Hole in the Desert (Multi Moon Warp To Jaxi Ruins and get the bird

I believe this category would be impossible, cause Bird flying through the wastes is a moon rock moon. Unless i'm wrong

Does the butterfly in Lost count as a bird since Toadette counts it?

The butterfly in Lost is also considered a bird, you might include that. Otherwise, I feel like it's too close to any%, only Sand is different... Maybe you can find bird-related moons or other goals in at least some other kingdoms. Maybe even just scare some birds away

So I think the routing for Sand would just be to get Bird around the Wastes after Jaxi Ruins, and Bird around the Kingdom at normal place at start.

Why do you have to fight bosses in sand? And did you have to do the cutscene where klepto steals your hat or are you allowed to just defeat him?

Bird Flying Through The Wastes is only obtainable once defeating Knucklotec (ice temple boss). The route I used was to beat the two bosses and once being transported back to the odyssey use Jaxi Ruins checkpoint flag to warp near the bird.

Regarding Klepto, you have to trigger the cutscene.

Do you guys think I should add the Where the Birds Perch moon on the Bird Hills in the Oasis in Sand Kingdom?

I know that you don't have to trigger the animation to get the butterfly, I was just saying why can't we just go kill klepto without triggering the cutscene. The cutscene is annoying and avoidable.
