Using this route is very much recommended over the old routes because it's way faster, cuts out a significant portion of run-ending RNG, and is a lot more straightforward. However, this uses a menu walking tech for a lot of sections which may be difficult to do consistently with the optimal running method, but with practice (and/or walking instead of running for it) it isn't too bad.
