**The Fix Enhancers patch for Fellowship of the Ring 1.1 brings new tools, stability and options for the PC port.**

**What it does**

**• Controller support**

Fellowship now features custom controller Xinput (xbox) controller support which mimics the layout of the PS2 port of the game in the d3d8.ini you can turn this off with 0 or have controller support on by setting [Xinput] ControllerSupport = 1 then you will be able to use an xbox controller In the game, if you don't have a xbox controller you can spoof it with the software DS4 windows or you can add the game to steam as a non steam game and make sure steam uses xinput then you can enjoy the game with full controller support**.**

**• Restores some developer cheats**

Cheats are activated by pressing the F5-F12 keys during gameplay. Note that these can be disabled in the fellowship.ini if so desired.

F5 = Fly mode

F6 = Drop

F7 = Toggles invincibility mode

F8 = Teleport

F9 = Kills all nearby enemies

F10 = Full Health

F11 = Suicide

F12 = Shows invisible statics

**• Makes third party tools like 3D-analyzer and dgVoodoo obsolete**

To run the game and install this patch, all you need is the US version of the game patched to 1.1 and the Fix Enhancer patch. An installation guide can be found in the "Guides" page on this site, on Github, and in the readme.ini

**• Makes the game a lot more stable**

You will experience a lot fewer crashes, if any.

**• Gives you a level selector in the New Game menu**

On the main menu page, by clicking New Game you will have all the levels in the game available to you from the start.
Note that the names of the levels are what the developers named them, but there are instructions in the readme.ini and on Github on how to rename them to anything you want.

**•  Higher resolutions**

It is advised to only go as high as 2560 x 1440 resolution because this game engine on anything above that will have texture popping issues so for example at 4k (3840 x 2160) on the edges of the screen you will have texture popping but this is not present in 2560 x 1440 or under.

required to make the game run on modern systems. options used are: "emulate other DX8.1 caps" + "LOTR texture fix" + "vendor and device id 1"

3D Analyzer

Extract to "Saves" folder in main directory.

All Section Saves PC

Modern alternative to 3D-Analyze with more features, functions, and smoother gameplay. Follow the instructions in "PC Getting Started Guide" for installing, and tune the settings until it runs as good as possible on your machine.

dgVoodoo 2

I found there was a patch v1.1 recently and did some testing, it seems to run slightly better with less crashing although more testing would be handy. I've left a link to the patch, I'll probably try and do some runs with this patch soon.

Patch v1.1

Bundled software with MSI Afterburner. Create a profile for Fellowship.exe and set "Framerate limit" for the run category (30, 60, or 0 for No Framelock). Must be open for framelock to take effect & to show fps.
