I thought about the cups being in the levels section, but since when I took over the board from somebody else when they retired from src, I just left it how it was since it had already been set up
I'm not sure what the best way to separate it would be. The problem with rom hacks is that they do get updated over time, and tracks for some reason do seem to get progressively longer. It could get quite messy if we added a new category for every single update.
While on the subject, wouldn't this also affect the 56 Tracks category? Would the category need to be split now?
Perhaps we could wait until new custom tracks get added, then make 56 Tracks a 1.0-1.1.40 exclusive category, and add a new category that includes the newer CTs that is played on 1.1.40+.
(Not to mention that according to the changelog, tons of old CTs were updated)
Splitting categories on every update just isn't a good thing to do. I might add a visible variable showing the versions like how ctgp wii has it though
That sounds like a good idea, but it doesn't necessarily solve the problem of having an unbeatable Fireball Cup WR (assuming that you can't downpatch CTGP-7).
In any case, we should do something. Since the WR is now unbeatable, what is the point of trying to beat it anyways ? Many solutions are applyable here to solve this.
