While I was doing an attempt earlier I ran into a bug where Crash locked into his crouching animation while keeping his sliding momentum. The only way I was able to regain control was by jumping. This was on ice with triple mask, so I really doubt there is anyway to use this, but I figured I should check anyway. Video below.
Yeah that's come up a few times. I dunno exact specifics but I think it has to do with the slide ending right as you transition from normal ground to ice.
I think it might also be faster but I don't know that for certain.
That's the "ice trick" bug that you use to slide JUST before starting to skate on the ice. This interaction is much different, because in the one you showed, you do get locked from moving on the ice with triple mask only from what I've managed to do many times before while attempting to do it mid-invincibility. But, I, myself, have done this without triple masks, and reasons are simply unknown, although not to confuse it with this (just to be clear with things):
