#How does it works ?

The auto splitter uses picture triggers to split. According to tests I have done on my computer it's maximum 1 frame late.

#Setting the auto splitter

When launching the auto splitter with AutoSplit.exe you will need to add the split pictures folder. After that you will need to define a region, I recommend you using a 4:3 one since split pictures are made to work both in fullscreen and windowed and that some triggers are only 4:3 by the way. You can select an unprecise region with the "select region" tool then ajust it precisely with the fields made for that.

If you are playing in fullscreen on a 1080p screen, just put: x = 240 y = 0 Width = 1440 Height = 1080

Since the game runs at less than 24 fps, anything above than that should be OK for the autosplitter. Some tests will be made to make this information more precise. Disabling live view when everything is setup and lowering FPS reduces CPU usage and can improve the overall speed of the splitter.

"Similarity threshold" is an important point because it defines when the splitter will split, depending of the visibility of the trigger. Default settings should be fine but if the splitter splits when it should not, raise this a little bit, and if the splitter is not splitting, lower this a little bit.

"Pause time after split" is also an important point, it's the amount of time where the splitter won't work after a split to avoid splitting multiple times. You should lower it to less than 3 seconds to make sure you won't skip anything.

#Using the auto splitter

Once you finished setting up those things, just add the "start / split" hotkey, it MUST be the same as the key you are using to split on livesplit.

You NEED to split after having beaten the last boss because there’s no visual trigger for now.

You will also NEED to stop the auto splitter right after beating the boss to avoid false positives.

#Load remover

The splits and split pictures are set to register loading time in order to easily remove them in the future. Add every load splits and remove the result from final time and you will get the load-less time!
