Hi, I was just wondering if I could have a question answered. I am interested in potentially running this game, but only would be able to on an emulator. Would an emulator run still be accepted?

This is kind of an old question in the community. I personally have nothing against Emulators, but if we allow them there has to be an standardized config and version.

Okay, no problem. Was just wanting to check in because some communities will not allow you to use it in any circumstance, and I have never interacted with this one/didn't see it anywhere on this speedrun page. Will be joining the discord server!

Yeah, we currently have emulators banned. But I personally think that allowing them (or at least doing a separate category) will help the community grow since the game might not be that easy to get.

I'm not necessarily against allowing emulators, but allowing them would require fine tuning to the submission rules.

As always, just because you can't submit to the leaderboards yet doesn't mean you can't do runs.

Feeling at this point that we should see if there's anyone that objects to using emulators - I'm not sure there is.
