I try to use a separate stopwatch or timer app and manually time runs and just edit the timer to overlay the run video. But any mess ups and you gotta start over. So sometimes I just submit them without one and they have been accepted. The struggle is real for us console players. Lol
Been wondering if a Google Chromebook or laptop with emulator would work. Xbox app(idk if ps has one for mobile) can stream capture to mobile(how I record longer runs). If livesplit would recognize it as a capture it would work, which would make running a whole lot easier. But don't have either to test it on and don't wanna spend for something that won't work.
This wasn't an issue when IGT was standardised before, however in early to mid 2019 it was voted to change from IGT to RTA Loadless. While this made running better for full game (i.e. menuing counts for Any%) it also unfortunately kinda screwed over console runners since timers like Livesplit aren't available to them.
In the end, it takes MUCH longer for mods to verify especially long runs on console since there has to be manual timing for loads.
