Key Concepts FLOW

It can become overwhelming after entering a building. Entrances and hallways multiply and your building can quickly start to feel like a rat maze. When you choose you next entry or hallway you should flow like water into the building. This tactics keeps you from having unsecured rooms and halls behind you and greatly reduces your chances of being flanked.

FATAL FUNNEL

The entryway and "Fatal Funnel" are the most dangerous place for an operative to be in. It is imperative that each operative clear the door way and fatal funnel as fast as possible so that the next one can make entry.

Sectors of Fire

Each Operative should be covering an individual sector. For example the pointman should cover the front, the mid team cover the sides and areas where there is immediate or potential threats, and last man covering the rear or side.

Run The Wall

When inside the room your operatives should "Run The Wall" until they reach the next enterance. This prevents your operatives from entering each others crossfire and avoids silhouetting your operatives in other entrances.

Entry Entry is the most crucial and dangerous task an operative can undertake in CQB. Entry points are the most heavily defended areas in a closed environment. The success of a entry is not only life or death but a failed entry risk the momentum and lives of the rest of your team as well as the mission. It is imperative that every entry is executed flawlessly.

Slice The Pie

Slicing the pie is a very helpful technique which can be used on OPEN DOORS and CORNERS. it allows the operators to slowly clear and obtain information on large portions of the room before committing to entry. Operators making entry will then be presented with less threats from the fatal funnel allowing them to concentrate on their dominant corners upon entry.

Warning This technique is slow and may alert the enemy of your position. When alerted this may prompt the enemy to react before you have a chance to make entry.

Crossover or Button Hook

Crossover

Each operator enters the room clearing their funnel and half of the room

Button Hook

Represented by yellow in the picture. Both operators enter the room at the same time and "Button Hook"

Pro Crossover can clear side threats quickly. Buttonhook can clear the funnel quickly

Con Operatives are commited to entry of a potentially unkown threat.

2 Man Stack Modified

Fist operative "Button Hooks" Second " Crosses. This allows the operatives to maintain security infront of them until they enter the room.

Four Man Entry

When performing a 4 man entry you follow the same principles. the 3 man should go the opposite direction of the 2 and 4 man opposite of the 3.

Intersections and Hallways

T-Intersection and L Intersection

While at the intersection both lead men provide cross over to give furtherst cover penetration down each hall. The second man will then "run the rabbit" while the One man pops the corner.

L-Intersections are treated similarly but instead the Two man has the option to "Slice the Pie"

Movement

When moving down the hall you have various options. It mainly depends on personal preference and number and location of enterances along the hall.

Moving T

The moving T is great and quick formation for long hallways with little to no entrances. it allows multiple operatives to fire down range and still have rear and side security when needed.

2 man split and 4 man stack

If there are many entrances on both sides of the hall you may split your team into two mean groups on both sides of the hall providing front and rear security. This will allow you to quickly clear rooms as you progress down the hall.

If the all the enterances are on one side of the hall you may want to stack your men on the eterance side and push the hall room to room while maintaining security down the hall.
