Is it possible to use zandronum port for speedrun doom II? It seem's like Zdoom? |

you can, but its not recommended |

Why? I make a lot of test, the only difference i have found it about fluidity, with zandronum its at 60fps full hd, and with gzdoom i'am at 30 😕 |
|
The reason is because we're trying to stay as far away from GzDoom as possible due to enemy behaviours and some other guff 😛 |

You think Gzdoom, Skulltag, Zandronum ects... Change some enemy comportment? I make many test with chocolate doom, original doom (on dosbox), gzdoom and zandronum, and in level 2 enemy comportment seem's the same random as shit ^^! But I understand the way to stay as more as possible with the original doom 😉 |

That's just the rules I guess 😛 It has small changes, but enough that make it not comparable to the original. Some levels it makes GzDoom faster and some it makes the other versions faster but it's consistency of course 🙂 |

So, Gzdoom is highly recommended for speedruning the Doom 1 & 2 ? =) |

have they ever heard about 'classic doom'? |

I also think that 16x9 shouldn't be allowed (since it give player a wider field of view) as well as turning off the Melt effect on RTAs runs. Always 4x3 and Screen Melt ON |
