Sorry if this is a recurring question but I'm confused as to why puzzle pieces don't have to be collected in 100%. They're tracked in the game or is it something weird like the game itself doesn't count them towards percentage?
The game has an in-game percentage counter, and will go up to 100 once you've done all the levels. So the minimum requirement is just to completing all stages (getting all KONG letters in the process). Next to that, the puzzle pieces only unlock some concept art.
I agree it's not true 100%+ in nature, but the community decided this was the best outcome, and never changed in the 5+ years I've been here.
I've thought about proposing the name All Stages (which is currently the name for the same category in DKCR3D and DKCTF), and when I get around to doing a run of it I'll probably use that name in the video title. There are good arguments for both names really, though.
Mirror Mode now has its own leaderboard as a full-game category. This consists of completing every level in Mirror Mode (essentially the second half of a 200% run). This can be compared to the existence of Green Stars as a category in SMG2. This will hopefully serve to create more interest in 200% i
