I'm new to this whole thing but i have been working on a few runs and have previous twitch video for it can someone help me walk through how to submit and upload the video?

Getting a video If you livestreamed it to Twitch (which I've seen you do a few times), you can highlight it using the highlight tool on Twitch. You can find it in the video editor. After highlighting, there is an option to upload it to YouTube if you so wish. Grab either the YouTube URL or Twitch URL.

If you local recorded or just recorded the video, you can upload that to either YouTube or Twitch, same way.

Submitting a run On the leaderboards itself, press "Submit run" in the top right and fill in all the details. The time, platform, date of PB, video file, splits (Via splits.io, this is not required in any way), and a message to the moderators if needed. Or just "FIRST RUN. Boss 2 was bad" etc.

After that, us moderators are going to look at the submission and either verify it if everything was done according to the rules, reject it (with proper feedback), or re-time it if needed.

it should i do have the full video but because of background music the audio cuts in and out during the run. is this ok? Also I am looking to get the sub splits setup using livesplit is there a file I can download for this or do I need to just update manually within the liveplit app?

It's mostly the video that's important. Audio shouldn't be a problem, but if you really care about it, you can try local recording it and excluding everything else. There is a way for OBS Studio to do that within the mixer, but you'll have to take a look at that. Does mean that you have to upload the video afterwards :^).

Be sure to empty em out first, otherwise you'll be running against mine. I also saw that you're not using the keys, so you might have to change the route a little bit, but it's better to adapt. For that, we are getting the keys in world 3, 4 and 7 for a faster route. They cost 20 each.

what do you mean for the keys? i thought in every run it was done as a new game? so I always start over with nothing. also thanks for everything i just finished another run and dropped another 12 min bringing my time to 2hr18min. I will be uploading that one later today. Thanks again for everything and showing me the site for speed runners I am having a blast with this.

I'll work on learning the key maps and put together another run thank you again for everything.
