I´ve been thinking about this for a long time. When i started running this game, noone told me about this, and it was discouraging not to know til i realized by myself. I try to warn new runners but i think it would be necessary to make a pinned thread on the forum, or maybe warn in the game rules. I abandonned this run for months due to frustration. It´s difficult to make this game actually work, and then when it work u loose time out of nowhere without any reason. Let´s warn new ppl.

the 10 hrs pc session glitch yeah?

If anyone don´t know "what is about" this time glitch, i´ll tell our research:

If start ur session (windows) -> Time Glitch (u lost about 2-3 seconds per minute without reason)
If started windows 10 hours ago -> No Time Glitch
2 and a half days with ur session started -> Menu Glitch

Every undetermined time, u´ll have to reinstall cos the game won´t open.

On top of @VendettavicVendettavic 's notes, I can recommend checking the framerate with GeForce Experience or Fraps or similar software for top accuracy.
Optimal speed in game (not inside menus because framerate there goes brrr) for the PC port right now (with or without dgVoodoo, excluding the future REbirth patch) is 63/64. The game does flicker between those values, and I'm told that you can also see 30/32, but the game should run at the same speed (the doubled framerate should be just a visual glitch).

Yeah... I knew about this technical issue. More you run that version, more you slow down.
Unfortunately, there is no any fix to this issue.

DuckStation is a good option and compromise until a Rebirth patch for PC will be released, which is lickly to solve all those issues.

DuckStation is not an alternative, but a totally different platform.
The issue with the PC port is temporary and will hopefully be gone as soon as possible, but it is still an issue to aware new runners about before they throw hours of grinding into it.

@NazzarenoNazzareno I'm sorry to contradict you. But @RapixOnGamingRapixOnGaming is right.
Currently PS1 version is the best way to run DC2, DuckStation included.
PC version will be runnable just with the classic rebirth patch. It's almost impossible to advise new runner unlesss they read forum.
It's sad to admit it, but the future about current PC board is at risk and the best fix is also to split SourceNext version patched with future patch and Unpatched PC versions.

Then lock the current PC category instead of coming up with random banned softwares. I care a lot about Gemini's patch but, as long as it is not available, I don't give a damn. Duckstation is emulator, not PC version, and I don't care about comparing PS1 with PC either. It's not even the point of this thread, and we already clarified that we have different opinions about which version is better.

PC is meta at this point u can see more then 1 pixel don't need to wait 5secs for the camera to change the only good thing about PS/EMU is the music is not scuffed compare to PC.
