Game mods invalidating runs?

Asking for my fiance who does not have an account here but might be interested in learning the NG+ run.

Hopefully this isn't a silly question, but; He plays the game with mods installed, but figured that having them in his game would invalidate any run he hypothetically submits. Does he need a clean install?

What mods? If they alter the gameplay in any major way (world difficulty, any combat/AI changes, cheat mods etc) then I doubt they would be allowed. List the exact mods and what they do, and depending on what they are I'll provide you some answers.

He says he can't recall the specific names of the different mods, but he does say he has some that tweak the way stats works (and I believe some graphical mods as well). But yeah, major gameplay changes makes perfect sense. Thanks!

I'll need to ask Glasnonck, but for now I would play it safe and just disable any mods that aren't purely visual mods, due to unforeseen complications dealing with Dogma's natural mod incompatibility plus the off chance that developers changed some things without telling their audience. I'm glad you asked us first! Do we know how exactly the stats are tweaked? Is it an actual physical number change like upping your strength or just an ease for the reader like a format difference?

As a general rule, no mods are be allowed since even visual mods can have unforseen effects on gameplay and may not be accessible to all runners. Any official release of the game unmodded is okay. Sorry if that makes it a bit more difficult for your fiance. If you have a list of the mods, we could discuss it more specifically.
