Are we able to submit runs using this system as it is a FPGA based system? And if so are submissions "nes" for og cart and "emu" for everdrive ?

Nt Mini is allowed, its FPGA core is perfect.

I can't speak for other FPGA systems like the AVS or Mister as I don't own them and haven't had a chance to test their accuracy, lag is a major concern. It needs to be absolutely on point to be allowed.

Also afaik the AVS only has HDMI output unlike the Nt Mini (and Mister?) which feature analogue connections. What it means is it will most likely output 60.00 fps while the NES itself outputs 60.0988 fps. Long story short, you'll lose 1 sec for every 10 minutes of gameplay over a real console or an Nt Mini running in analogue mode. So for an any% run it will lose at least 3 seconds for a full run.

If the FPGA core is accurate, it's allowed and would be submitted as a console run. But testing is needed.

It's advertised as zero lag https://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=36&products_id=78 is the page for it. I of course would love to just run an nt mini but it seems they are out of production and used ones are running 1000$ plus. I do have a few original nes systems so I could mod one I suppose , but I really have zero experience with that so I'm a bit hesitant to try it. I am just trying to find a way to do runs on a flat screen monitor and use my capture equipment I already have without spending enough to buy a used car ya know, and I already have an avs on the way.
