Thread: Does this game need more active mods?

I've been waiting 11 days so far for my runs to be accepted, and all mods except for 1 or 2 haven't checked the site in over a month.
edit: nvm they've been verified now

1. Someone who plays on original hardware, and is REALLY good at the game. Watching Tetris at GDQ is only good because of the insanely high level.
2. Probably not, Tetris GB will be too boring for most people- that's why TGM is a favorite at GDQ, it looks good, plays insanely fast, and is much more competitive. Plus more people play it has a higher level.

Someone said in the MK discord that it's possible to ride the wall if you're very parallel to it.

Cemu wasn't made (or at least isn't ready) for speedruns. I know for a fact botw physics are really buggy, and who knows what weird speed boosts cemu might give you. Maybe emu will be allowed when the emulators become more accurate, but for now cemu just can't be trusted for speedrunning.

Uhh, because Cemu isn't 100% accurate? Like, nowhere near?

Didn't Pannen prove that slides were the fastest way to travel? Or does that require really precise recovery?

This won't change much, as a recording is required anyway, and it's pretty simple to record the music as well. Good idea.

Wow, this is amazing, I didn't know the shell jump was possible RTA! Good work! Is there anywhere else where this would save time?

But if you don't add these categories how will people get free WRs without putting in any effort??

it's a dumb category imo as glitch is slower than regular gameplay. I'd say it's for like 1000 point runs where you use glitch as a backup, I guess.

That's a no. They don't need anymore mods at the moment. And it's not like this game is super active, anyway. And the categories are short. This isn't SM64 120 star.

The IPS file is a patch that you patch to a ROM with LunarIPS. I don't really know about TASing SMB, sorry.

FPG should work on all semi-accurate NES emulators (and FCEUX is certainly one). You're probably doing something wrong.

If you're not a top player you won't lose too much time by using the mushroom house as a backup, and you have basically a 100% chance to get the blue shell from that. I don't recommend resetting for shell rng unless you're getting really good at the game.

Started by: MBmasherMBmasher

I think it's technically faster, as the TAS does it iirc, but I think it's hard to collect it fast enough for it to be worth the extra time taken collecting it.

Pretty sure you can't delete your own runs unless you're a mod.
