PC starts you off with 5 hearts. PS1 starts you off with 3 hearts. This allows you to damage boost in more areas and overall have an advantage over PS1. Correct me if I'm wrong. I only have noob knowledge of this game. But aren't things in different places as well? I dunno. It just seems they were meant to be separate.

Yes the hearts are different and i believe some locations are laid out differently if i remember correctly. I agree they should be different categories, however there aren't many runs for this game so it would just further split up the leader-board. I guess it is just what the moderators decide is best for this game (Im not a moderator). It would only be a real issue if there was disputes over who owned the world record if someone else scored a really similar time of a different version of the game.

Oh I gotcha. I forgot this game wasn't very popular. I guess when there's like 20 runners I'll complain then :P

BTW: I'm learning Croc 2 PC for 12HC

Great, good luck :) my WR for any% is improvable by a few minutes, and 100% is probably about 10 minutes. I might have to do some more runs ;)

I've had a couple of tries at PC 100% this year, just got my PB down from around 2:39ish to 2:20:30 on the second attempt. Next goal is sub-2:15. Going to post some of my 100% routing / tips sometime to help anyone else looking to have a go, would love to collaborate and see if we can get PC 100% sub 2hr :)

Great to see more runners @eggmanface :) Very happy for collaborating too. I haven't put a serious amount of thought into which routing would be fastest, but i plan to be doing more runs in the coming weeks. Had a quick look at your guide and most routing is different from mine, so it will interesting to try yours. On level 2 you suggests to buy extra robos as backups, i would suggest getting an extra blue gummy for train, since there is a run killing bug that commonly occurs in that levels trophy stage (unless you decide to rest if it happens since it is early-ish in the run and does cost a few minutes), but an extra robo is also a solid choice since the one in red ant has a fairly tight robo section. I think sub 2 is possible, since i made quite a few mistakes and deaths on my 2h 8min run. Good luck on your runs :)

@Paulmall - would love to hear your comments! For Train trophy, is the bug you're talking about how the enemies fling you off the ice when you tail attack them? If so, I find stomping is a good solution, kills your momentum and seems to consistently keep you safe.

@battleonfan1 - I don't think anyone has been able to get it to work in windowed mode, don't let that hold you back :)

@Eggman Yes that bug. From memory, stomping also flings you off, but i could be wrong. I will investigate when i do runs. @battleonfan1 Try using DxWnd, a program that forces things to run in windowed. I don't use it for runs, but worked for me when i tried when experimenting with recording stuff.

I actually got it into windowed mode using dxwnd in the past. But all of a sudden it stopped working. That is why I couldn't do this game for the 12 hour challenge.

That sucks. My other suggestions would be play in fullscreen or emulate ps1 version, which is slightly different. I just bought it for ps1 so i'll be able to point out differences soonish

The ps1 version is nasty.

What is the issue with running the game in fullscreen? If you want to see splits or twitch chat, i would suggest plugging in a second monitor. Croc 2 allows you to pick which monitor its on and it works pretty well

@Spikestuff So basically two things:

1. Not every game works with Dxwnd. Just because Croc 1 works, that doesn't mean Croc 2 automatically works. Have you tried it?
2. I've tried many wrappers. 3Danalyze, Dxwnd, Dgvoodoo2. The works. Don't just assume I'm some dumb fuck who doesn't know what he is talking about.

Edit 2: Don't spam click while you're on a loading screen. This is why you most likely crashed. Just have the window open, don't use any background programs, once you see the little introduction hit escape, you're in the menu, and then screw around with what you wanted to do.

After playing the ps1 version for a bit, i have decided that i agree with you @battleonfan1. The ps1 version is nasty
