Tutorial% General Route

Here are the basics to a good Tutorial% run.

For level 1, the fastest route is dash, weapon pickup, jump, sair, jump groundpound, jump groundpound, groundpound. The positioning of the groundpounds depend on your previous moves, so there's no guarantee it'll be 100% consistent.

As soon as you see the bot die in levels 1 and 2, you're going to want to leave the level and go to the next one. This skips the lengthy podium screen, which can eat up quite a bit of time. Make sure you don't leave too early, though; if you leave before the bot actually dies, your run is invalid.

For level 2, there are a few different routes that can work. In isolated incidents, we have been able to get something as quick as dair nair nair for a kill; however, that is really inconsistent. A very fast and consistent route is dash jump weapon pickup, jump, jump, dlight, jump dair, jump nair, jump gc nsig. I usually pivot my dlight for consistency, but it doesn't matter. A slower but easier route is doing basically the same inputs as for level 1: when you reach the platform, sair, jump groundpound, jump groundpound, groundpound. I would recommend doing the first strat, though.

Level 3 is much less consistent. I prefer a sword here, as just about the fastest possible level 3 involves slight picking up all 3 bots and pushing them to the edge, followed by dsig (hopefully catching a recovery), followed by groundpounding the highest bot(s). If you happen to get hammer, you can try baiting the bots offstage and using recovery and groundpound, but this is less consistent.

For a look at all the above strategies together, here's my most recent world record.
