What are the Differences Between Switch & Wii U Versions?

So I've started practicing speedrunning BotW on the Switch, and I noticed that the weapon throw cancel to stop from taking damage during long falls isn't working.

So first question, am I doing it right? Walk off ledge, ready to throw a weapon, quick change to unarmed, correct?

Second, even if that move is just me needing more practice, what other differences should I know about the Wii U and Switch versions of this game? I know that the loading screens take significantly longer to load, which is why I know the Wii U is universally the better console to speedrun this game at the moment... but since that's off the table at the moment, I'm going to have to work with what I have, which also means knowing what tricks will/won't work on the Switch that the Wii U players utilize.

In order to cancel your fall damage, you have to start throwing the weapon before unequipping it. You don't have to actually throw it, but you have to release R before unequipping the weapon

Also there are no Wii U specific tricks or glitches and the only difference between them is load times.

I think the Wii U has faster load times (not sure but that's what I have heard). The Switch just has better 1080p graphics (Wii U has 720p). The glitches are the same though and both versions are basically same. They could have at least added a map to the Wii U Gamepad, but they didn't want the Switch to be inferior, so they coded exact same stuff.

the switch version actually ISNT 1080p at all. it runs at 900p when docked, and 720p in portable mode. the switch just upscales the 900p to 1080
