They should just rename Master Sword RTA to Master Sword. In games like Link To The Past its called "Master Sword". So why should it be called "Master Sword RTA".

United States

I'm new to this, but from my cursory glance of terminology, it's because RTA signifies the point isn't to get to beat the game/get to the post credits. If I were to gander, Link to the Past would probably be more likely to add RTA to theirs than it dropped from Breath of the Wild.

RTA is an awful way to signify that the goal isn't to beat the game. It means Real Time Attack, something which also applies to the categories that do beat the game. Why isn't RTA after literally all of the categories?

It is just a blast from the Zelda speedrunning past. Several older games changed it, but we decided to keep it as a memento. Sorry, but we'll keep it.
