Pauseless MAX%?

what about a new category trying to get as many shrines, side quests, divine beasts, koroks, master sword, and true ending. the only holdup is the fact that you cant use the + button, - button, or up, left, or right on the d-pad. everything else is allowed except major glitches. (this was directly inspired by a gamechamp3k challenge/stream). so far true ending, rito divine beast, and 117(?) shrines are possible. no idea how many koroks.

how would true ending be possible? i thought you needed to have the zora armour equipped for mipha's cutscene, which requires a pause to put on. doesn't true ending require the champion memories, too?

You Can equip armor By dying it at the Hateno dye shop. You can "switch runes" by upgrading them at the Hateno tech lab.

also, this run really shines in master mode. because of the limit to 2 save slots. breaks could be more lenient than 100% because there is no fast travel so maybe 4 8 hour breaks?

Someone made a video about a pauseless playthrough, and it sounds really complex, advanced, and thus interesting. They also seemed to reference a different way of changing your clothes. Not sure if maybe the boss fights might be too slow to keep the categories sane

Because of IwerSonch’s post, I have changed my mind about this. The runs for this category could get interesting for routing. I say yes!

how about just any% cause 100% pauseless is a big NO

any% would be fine

Max% Would be 100% minus the impossible shrines, like the one in Gerudo town where you have to do the sand seal race but it only finishes after you defeat the divine beast. The divine beast is impossible because you have t open your map to change the divine beast's position.

I would do any% its way less time consuming but you would need a route because you only have a weapon and a bow at a time you would have to get the master sword and then straight to ganon also if you accidentally pause just do nothing and unpause because its a habit for everyone to pause and maybe home screen isnt pausing and same timing rules that should be fair

i might do a run it seems fun but another time so I'll be 1 run just need 2 more and I'm going to do NORMAL mode master mode is not easy as pauseless

Any% seems a more plausible idea.

Max shrines would be all except for the one locked behind an impossible Divine Beast, and even that could maybe be gotten with the new Naboris skip (if there is a variation that doesn't require pauses). Pauseless Master Sword would similarly also probably be possible. I'd be interested in watching a pauseless run that does something more than Any%, but ofc if nobody wants to do it that's fine

warblers nest is impossible too because of the salmon dish

It’s probably possible with the wrong warp glitch tho

You mean Shrine Storage? There isn’t a wrong warp involved. You are simply storing a loading zone and accessing it later.

you cant unless you chop down a tree nearby because you need to pause and go into the inventory to get wood so it might not be possible

You can jump on the first frame you land and it will not trigger the cutscene

CyanWes

doing that is really hard and you also need wood to trigger the loading screen and doing a 1 frame jump every time is extremely difficult so you shouldn't even try it

You could just bil, but that requires switching bombs, which counts as pausing so...no. I do believe that you could home buffer by accessing the home menu instead of the pause menu, but it’s a lot harder.
