This guide will help you make sure your dolphin setup is speedrun-ready.

First, you MUST use a build newer than 4.0-4221, as loads are guaranteed to be inaccurate on prior builds. I recommend, and will be basing this guide off of using release 5.0 under "Stable Versions" at https://dolphin-emu.org/download/

Next, once you're set up, click the "config button". First, let's look at the general tab: Your settings should look like this. Dual Core helps keep a constant 60 fps, but is not required to be on if it causes you issues.

The interface tab can be configured to your liking.

Audio tab should look as follows:

The GameCube and Wii tabs can be set to whatever, paths should be configured for your system automatically during setup.

Advanced should appear as follows: This setting is CRITICAL, and NEEDS to remain off, or else major inaccuracies will occur and your run will be REJECTED

Moving on, close out of config, and click on the graphics button. General can be set to whatever you find works best for you, though it is recommended to keep aspect ratio on 4:3.

Enhancements should look as such: Any other setting may cause extreme graphical glitches (Red triangles, blue box outline in corner, etc)

Hacks should be set to: If you get the blue square outline still, uncheck the "disable" box next to disable XFB and select "real"

Advanced should be set to:

Next, right click your BFBB ISO on your game list, and select properties. GameConfig should look like: The important thing here is that speed up disc transfer rate is set to off, or else your loads will be inaccurate and your run will be REJECTED

Patches, AR Codes, and Gecko Codes should all be empty
