You did not find a clip past the door of time
It's already allowed but slower.
Ganon is not required in any category.
Clip into a Jabu instead as it lets you control the fadeout better, timing starts when you touch the loading zone.
Yeah, there is. Zelly made one:
Also Ghoti made one in 2014 that offers some really good information:
Yeah Fox wrote one up here https://pastebin.com/rTPfC6RX
:)
GIM is not allowed yes
Savewarps were recently allowed in MM anyway, might as well allow them here although I don't think they alter anything.
Since the ability to save the debug file was discovered a couple months ago by TheWayfaringFox, and the recent showing of its uses at Benstephens56's AGDQ run, the Debug File has gained a lot of interest. This post should clear up some things about how it'll be used.
Any% - Slow
100% - You use it here, but you'd have to recollect everything, and having more than 30 hearts can make the game unstable.
All Dungeons - Not a very serious category and use of the Debug File is fun. You can (and should) use it here.
MST - Banned.
Glitched 100% - The entire basis of the category. Not called NSR due to that name being unfitting.
Any% on MQ would be much easier because you can get bombs immediately in DC. People can run it if they want but it's completely uninteresting
AD has more loose rules, while MST is more traditional. As of now All Dungeons now allows the Back in Time trick showcased at AGDQ, while MST and other categories barring Any% and Glitched 100% do not.
It's not the only difference, even without BiT AD optimally would GIM the Hammer, skip Din's Fire, and skip the Fairy Bow.
We'll verify your run without a video, but once it gets pretty decent we'd like it if you had some kind of video
All glitches work on the English version of the game.
You'll need to take a look at the version of your cart though, you can tell by a number on the back followed by either nothing (1.0), A (1.1) or B (1.2). Those are the only differences in how some glitches work.
Right now we don't really have a full opinion of this, it's been brought up, we talked, no real decision.
My view has always been that it shouldn't be allowed, but if it attracts more people to run the game that's always a plus for me, fun should always come first.
If you want to stay relevant in the speedrunning community, consider spelling speedrun correctly, that might help.
Epona Clip is probably around a minute slower. The Epona route is a lot more fun, you shouldn't worry about consec. mask jumping
