here are the sign ups, if you want to, you can either sign up as a runner or volunteer, or both (i don't have any volunteers yet, and volunteers can choose if they want to commentate, restream or help organize the tourney, among other options that are up to the volunteers by DMing me and telling me what they wanna do) https://forms.gle/tGxC52D3Rmm6HfX99
my bad, a volunteer can choose what they wanna do, essentially, they can either restream, help me organize the event, help with the tourney brackets, etc. (for that they can DM me and tell me what they wanna do)
nothing definitive yet, but i'm looking to organize a glitchless tournament for sonic 3 air that'll take place in either november or december, and i'm currently looking for volunteers. more details can be found here: https://forms.gle/tGxC52D3Rmm6HfX99
the plan i have is to do it in either november or december
Sonic 3 Angel Island Revisited which is sonic 3 & knuckles but remastered
would anyone be interested in a glitchless tourney? and if so, any suggestions on when it should be done?
i've never organized a speedrun tournament before and i'd like to know what's needed to organize a tournament that's fun for participants and spectators alike
sonic 3 & knuckles but remastered and with easier glitches
yep, by dead i mean a run that can't be PB anymore but that i wanna continue anyway, but there's a mental part to it, like, you get the urge to reset
the title says it all (by dead runs i mean runs that can't PB but that i wanna continue anyway)
yet another general question, which is in the title. no one's forced or expected to reply but any answers are appreciated (by completing runs i mean doing no resets)
another user already asked a question like this a few days ago, but, for the sake of making a youtube video about this
how do you go about learning a speedrun at a top level from scratch, learning the mechanics and the movement, as well as the cues, setups and tricks? (including specific practicing methods and learning techniques)
how do you properly optimize your movement? what do you do when you're finding it difficult to replicate what other top runners do? what are your prefered (detailed) practicing methods for improving at a game? what do you do when you're struggling with a trick or technique but don't wanna resort to not using it?
for anybody that checks this post in the future, what chrezm does is he holds left and uses the fire shield once sonic is about to land on the stair and is also inside it
oh ok so in other words i need to pause buffer a little to time that left tap, thanks i'll try that out
if you try and do LR2 skip as solo sonic, you need to do a stair clip in LR1 that for some reason just seems to not work most of the time even if you get it. no one is forced or expected to help me with this but any help is greatly appreciated cuz i've had runs that lost like 2+ minutes to this and it's so frustrating cuz idk what to do (also i forgot the title of this post said it was meant to be a question lol)
absolutely insane run, doesn't matter how you look at it, just absurdly clean gameplay everywhere
