We're testing out the possibility of using The Official SNK Discord ( https://discord.com/invite/snk ) as a potential source hub & discussion center for a variety of different SNK Game Titles featured on speedrun.com as a way to bring together the different SNK Game Speedrun Communities in not only being fans of SNK Titles but also as a way to discuss, collaborate, trade strategies, and even come up with new Categories for Games that are already hosted on their Leaderboards.
As part of this test we'll be be trying this out with a handful of Titles that will be supported on here such as:

These Titles were chosen since I also happen to be one of the Moderators for The Official SNK Discord and I will be working to revamp & rework their Leaderboards to help weave in integration between the site & the Official SNK Discord.
As part of this we may have "Mini-Events" on the Server in the future to help encourage Users to participate in Speedrun Sessions for these Games.
More SNK Game Titles may be added to the list of supported Games in the future as I am also actively reaching out to the different Speedrun Communities of SNK Games about this new effort and we're open for suggestions of other Titles that could potentially be added to that list of supported Games as well so feel free contact me about inquires in regards to that.

I've opened up this thread to discuss all the Categories for the game.
Whether that's adding new listings for a particular type of Speedrun, adjusting the Rules for an existing one, or any other types of concerns, it will be handled here!

Yeah I ended up editing the Original Category & creating a New Category that's more "Standard" for Fighting Games since the initial rules set for the game were set a while back ago before things became standardized & before the Switch Version was released.
If folks would like to see this game to be more expanded by having more Categories, for things like more Difficulty Levels, then feel free to send me a message somewhere! ;)

Actually 1.0 is still buyable as a Physical Copy for Consoles should someone choose not to download the update, elect not to update to the latest version or doesn't have their Console Connected to the Internet, you're not actually required to upgrade to 2.0 with Physical Copies of the Game.
What's with the Leadboards for BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II & Continuum EXTEND?
You yourself said that Emulation wasn't a good representation of the games and now all of a sudden Emulation Runs of the Game are getting approved.
Sorry it took a moment to get back to you but it was a Holiday Week in the US!
To answer your questions:
- The Characters listed on the Board were based on those who were interested in running particular characters, whether or not they actually had anyone attempt doing runs for them is another story.
At the time the Leaderboards were created nobody expressed interest in playing characters like Andy or Joe which is why they didn't have a section.
- Survival has a Reverse Time Order so it's actually listing whoever survives the longest.
Though I suppose if anyone was interested in doing a "First to 10 Wins" Run that could be made into a Board.
Well if enough active runners agree to that then it could be arranged, however note that if it does get separated into a Per Character Basis the problem is that could potentially split apart the Speedrunning Community for the Game into a even smaller size when it is already limited.
As a Single Category the Leaderboard pulls together everyone running the game to get a better sense of the total people actually playing the game, but should enough requests for individual character runs become a thing then it can be adjusted to fit that instead.
Alright added a something that keeps track of "Continues Used" moving forward, just in case, but it's not required to fill out or separated from the Main Runs just yet unless there's a sudden outcry by Multiple Runners that Continues should be it's own separate Sub-Category or in the Any Category since many other games do utilize all standard potential exploits for the sake of Speed.
Should folks for the most part all agree that it should be separated it can be but for now it's still a part of the Main Runs.
Well so far in terms of the Runs here it's basically "ANYTHING GOES!" unless there's suddenly a consensus of majority of the Runners of SVC: Chaos that uses of Continues, Secret Characters, Other Versions of the Game like "Plus", and Etcetera should be regulated differently then a standard run.
As of right now a majority of the Runners have been playing the Arcade Versions of the game rather rather than anything else at the moment so differences between Versions of the Game hasn't been an issue so far.
Should folks agree to have something split or in it's own Category it can be done if necessary, however be mindful that it could potentially split the Community for SVC: Chaos Runs depending on where the splitting points are since some other folks may not want to do a Run a Particular way or not agreeing with how something got split.
Either way at the moment there haven't been any issues for folks Running the game yet but should there actually be a consensus by multiple runners of the game to change something then it could be done as long folks are aware of what those changes may entail.
Yes for existing games that aren't already catalogued under the "Gundam Series" Banner you would have to specifically request for them to be added in the Thread link provided.
As for consideration as a Series Mod for Gundam, after much deliberation we've decided to give you a trial run to test the waters and see if you would be a good fit.
Please note that Series Mods actually do not have direct control of each of the individual Gundam Game Leaderboards & Rules for them listed on the Speedrun website since each individual Gundam Game is Moderated by their own individual Mod Teams and their Leaderboards & Rules are handled by them directly.
Series Mods are primarily keeping track of games that would fit in their Series Listing while being very familiar the various Games & Game Types that can be found within it, as well as adding other Gundam Games that would be viable for Speedrunning.

It was possible to add those games into the Series Listings however there wasn't any formal request for any of these games to be added to the Series Listings till now since a few were only recently added to the site sometime after the Series List was created or were under different titling till recently.
In order to request a game to be added to the Main Series it needs to be requested by going to the Series Page, then Games, and Request Game.

Yeah I'm currently checking to see if there's any significant differences between each Region & Version of the game through multiple sources so the help would be appreciated, however I can confirm that there is indeed a PAL version of the game that was released back in November 29th 2002.
Well now that Other Region Playthroughs are actually being added more frequently to the boards it will require more observation & study to completely verify if there isn't a significant edge to playing another Region Copy of the Game because of the Text, Voice Acting, Hardware Played On & Possible currently unknown factors because of Region Differences and requires more directly observed comparisons between them all.
This may also result in potential separation of other boards for things like Emulation or Running the game on Older PS3s that are PS2 Disc Compatible as well adding in more boards for choosing other the Division Routes.
Actually from what that particular article said, it Specifically Mentioned how ArcSys gave the details of the Embargo before June 5th which is when the Embargo was Officially Launched, since the Embargo was the same date as when the game was released on but they let the Players know what was Stream Embargoed prior to the 5th of June.
The Embargo didn't end on June 5th because that was the same day as when the Game came out to the Public and they wanted to make sure there were practically no Spoilers at all during the release of it.
As for why the Embargo would still be a thing since it's been two months, there's a chance that it isn't but at the same time it could potentially still be in effect since Atlus is an involved property of the Game which is known to keep things "Officially" Embargoed for Several Months after a game has been Released.
That's not to say that it isn't over but yet there's still no Official Confirmation that it is over either ?
Coincidentally enough, I received many Messages and Questions from my own Twitch Chat during my Semi-Weekly PSP Game Twitch Streams of Different PSP Titles asking how I'm able to Stream PSP and PS Vita Titles on my original PSP Systems and PS Vita through OBS Studio for those Semi-Weekly Streams. Providing a photo of what I use to Stream that Semi-Weekly Show that I do Stream on Twitch and What I used to capture those PSP BlazBlue Speedruns is not a problem because it turns out many people who aren't already part of the PSP Community that know about the Different Capture Techniques are now actively looking to Capture Directly from their own Original PSPs as well after seeing Streams of PSP Titles from myself and many others.
Much like @PikaRice and many others who like to Capture PSP Audio and Video Directly instead of Emulating, I too Purchased the Official PSP Video Cables by Sony to be able to Play all my PSPs (I own around 5) on my TVs as well as being able to Plug them Directly into my PC. I happened to already taken a Photo of what I use to Stream PSP Titles yesterday since as I mentioned before that I do a Semi-Weekly Stream of PSP Titles and my Viewers were also curious as to how to get PSP Audio and Visuals Directly from the System because they're Actively considering Streaming from their own PSP Systems as well since playing on the Original Systems is more Reliable than Emulating.
Anyways that's just a Couple of Different ways how I'm able to Stream from PSP Systems Directly. I'm actually packing up a few of my Systems right now since I'm about to be road tripping to the Convention Center in Atlantic City that I mention before that's hosting a ton of Fighting Game Tournaments and some Speedrun Events happening This Weekend along side the actual Main Convention going on and thus will be busy and unavailable for the next few days until around Tuesday.
