I've been practicing BLJ's a lot for my runs but it's so inconsistent, for me I think there's an angle and a rhythm to it but I just don't what it is, maybe it's just me. If there's a consistent method please I wanna know.

i dont think there is a consitent method, some people just cant do BLJs, for example i was never able to do the blj on the stairs

I’m pretty sure u need to clip into the first stair u make contact with via a specific angle, but I’m not too sure

if you're good at mashing it helps to have a slight angle, but other than that there's not really a consistent method.

BLJs are very hard to be consistent at and I would argue that there is no real way to actually be consistent. I have found that hitting the stairs at a slight angle and trying to start the mash as soon as mario makes contact with the stairs helps some. but really you just gotta get a feel for them. Also when you do the blj to get to BitS, be very careful to not angle to the left or there is a high chance you will clip into WDW (learned that the hard way)
