I've clipped myself into the thalmor embassy multiple times but each time I take the letter from the chest the quest "Diplomatic Immunity" fails to start hence when I go to visit esbern I cant start the dialogue. Am I using strats that no longer work? Appreciate any help. Thanks :)

Make sure you take all items from the chest.
