Hey guys,

Just in case you haven't noticed the new rules on the boards, we are now allowing emulator runs for Scooby-Doo!: Night of 100 Frights. The reason for this is to get more people involved in running the game who don't necessarily have the means of recording off a console.

The only emulators we are accepting are Dolphin (for the GameCube version of the game) and PCSX2 (for the PS2 version). Also, because load times would give emulator runners unfair advantage over console runners, we are putting a cap on how fast your run can be to be accepted on emulator. The limitations are as follows:

Any% (with GGS) - No faster than 40:00
Any% (without GGS) - No faster than 45:00
All Bosses - No faster than 55:00
100% - No faster than 2:35:00

Cheat% - No faster than 13:00
All Monster Tokens - No faster than 1:10:00
Warpless - No faster than 45:00
No Level Skips - No faster than 1:50:00

Emulator runs that are slower than the times given above are allowed on the leaderboards. Have fun!

If a run is faster than that time will it be considered that time?

e.g. A 35:42 Any% GGS would appear on the lbs as 40:00?

The run would unfortunately not be allowed if it was faster than the time it was capped at.

So if you're starting to get times that are faster than 40 you'll have to start running on console.

The goal is to introduce people to running the game that might not have the game or a means to record off console, then when they start getting to a certain level of play for them to switch over. We didn't want emulator load times to start playing into competitive runs because that would be an unfair advantage.

Since the discovery of Creepy Early on the Gamecube and Playstation versions of the game earlier this year, the community has decided to combine the Creepy Early and No Creepy Early subcategories into one leaderboard. We have also replaced the "GGS/No GGS" variable with a "CE/No CE" variable.
