I just requested Among Us as a game with the idea that you can speedrun All tasks in Free play and more ideas that don't include any multiplayer aspect.

It got rejected within about 2 minutes of me requesting it and considering the example run is 8 minutes long they didn't seem to have fully read the request and rejected it for being a PVP game.

This makes no sense since the categories I suggested don't even feature PVP or multiplayer in any way. It would be similar to cs: go having a speedrun for its training course.

News flash. People keep requesting Among Us. Among Us keeps getting rejected. People keep complaining about this in the forum. Mods keep explaining why it won't be accepted. I don't know what you people think is changing.

Well at least explain it in the reject note instead of making no sense in the reject note. Like I said the things I suggested have nothing to do with PVP or multiplayer.

it got added earlier this month. Kinda interesting they add an actual PVP speedrun and reject stuff which has nothing to do with PVP for the reason that its PVP based.

This game was probably added by the Minecraft series moderators, nothing to do with site staff.

Ok so what about all the COD games and Overwatch and Dead by Daylight. They are all PVP based and are exactly like what I am requesting where they speedrun the tutorial or training grounds.

They were all added before rules got stricter. We don't remove games retroactively. By the standards now, almost none of them would be accepted.

oh ok. So I guess the only chance for the game to be added is through a series moderator to add it right?

Specifically for games related to the series, yes. 

Specifically for Among Us, no. If anyone is found adding a game unrelated to the series, it will be considered moderator abuse and the leaderboard + the moderator will be removed.

Also, could I know why PVP based games now don't get accepted anymore? It just seems like a waste since most of the PVP games are very popular and would probably make a nice speedrun community for them.
Especially something like this since I think all tasks in Freeplay would be such a good category.

It would also give me some closure on the topic since I get why it got rejected but I don't know why the rule exists since unlike the reason behind the other rules which are mainly there to keep the site from getting flooded with to many leaderboards I don't see this rule having the same purpose.

Your just removing the pvp aspect from a pvp based game like everyone else who has submitted among us.

well, I don't think you guys understand the category idea I had. In the Game itself, there is a Freeplay mode which is a single-player, and it servers as a training area to practice certain tasks like training ground in cs or Kill house in cod. In it, you can practice tasks and there is a way to turn on all tasks on a map, and doing all of them was my idea. 
Like I said many times it's a singleplayer component in an otherwise PVP game. Here is the example run I had. Keep in mind the dummies aren't actual other players. Here is it in the showcase: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/756757766 That's the only reason I am so mad about it not getting accepted cause I suspect that the moderators don't know this exists. Otherwise, I would totally agree it would be a stupid speedrun if you would have to play in an actual multiplayer lobby.

If your interested and you have the game (it is free on mobile after all) in the menu screen if you press Freeplay you get to this mode and its completely singleplayer

That is also why I made this forum post in the first place since that is what I was worried about and wanted to see if the moderators knew this existed and if it would maybe change the situation

The issue is not in the category you are requesting being singleplayer, it's in the fact that 99% of the games popularity is in multiplayer. For example, the Overwatch leaderboard use to just be speedrunning the tutorial (also not a very good speedrun and would not be added onto the site with new rules) and there was no PvP categories, but over time they added more and more that were PvP related.

So the issue isn't with the run itself being a singleplayer run, but with the games community more than likely adding multiplayer categories over time.

And yes, site mods know it exists and have had lengthy discussions with other members of the speedrun community who have made the same arguments and claims as you have been.

Although I do want to add I swore on my speedrun account on my submission that I wouldn't add any multiplayer categories to the leaderboard retroactively I do realize that that doesn't really change the outcome at all. Although I do think that would be a good workaround to have the best of both. Just like with when you notice that someone added a game not part of a series you would revoke his moderator rights you could make it a rule that if a mod retroactively adds a multiplayer category that category gets removed and the person themselves gets their moderator rights revoked.

Although I assume that has already been thought of and decided against.

For the people complaining about how often this keeps coming up, try to remember that *most* people do not look at the site forums at all, and that there isn't even a way to search the forums, so it's hardly a surprise that people keep submitting a popular new game and are surprised when it gets rejected. There's no reason to be mean when you see a new person post about it.

Question to site staff: Why are series mods allowed to add PvP related games? Shouldn't this be... reconsidered?

It should be explained further in the submission rules because the rules are vague. People keep submitting pvp games and posting about it because the rules are not clear and vague. They could mention in their own words that: they no longer accept pvp-games even though they did before; that pvp-based games already on the site are fine and will not be removed; that series mods can add pvp-based games to the site as long as they are not troll submissions (based on what I've seen in response to these submissions); and that in order for a pvp game to be accepted, it has to have some sort of PvE campaign or story mode.
