Question about Joypad

Hi !

I am new in the speedrun world. Having played a lot of Zelda ALTTP on SNES, I want to start with this game on Snes9x (1.53). Which joypad do you recommend? Snes (adapter) or another? Thank you very much !

(Sorry for my bad english)

I always recommend a real controller and an adapter. Raphnet makes good SNES->USB adapters, and so do Tomee and Mayflash.

How does the input lag compare to original hardware?

A raphnet adapter will add sub-frame lag, such that it will be negligible, and at that point, it's about configuring your emulator properly. An emulator like RetroArch (which utilizes allowed cores such as SNES9X and higan) allows for some configuration to mitigate and nearly (but not entirely) eliminate input delay.
