I don't think there are enough mods of the category/game to handle submissions in a timely manner, so instead anyone can take it, then afterwards if someone sees an error we can make a post about it to get it moved/removed
If there aren't enough active mods then more mods should be added, moderation really shouldn't be a problem on a semi-popular leaderboard.
It's also never been an issue in the past. When there has been a questioned run it seems to get taken care of relatively quickly. But forcing mods to verify every run seems silly when 99% of the people submitting them know what they are doing. I think this is a rare occurrence where there have been questionable submissions so close together.
it's also completely repairable. if a time is bad, it gets removed, and there is no damage. it's not a big deal.
