Starts the same way as “First Debt” (place house, get shovel, pay Nook) except this time you need to upgrade Nookling Junction, get 100% town approval, and unlock Club LOL
To upgrade Nooklings you need to spend 12k Bells in the store. This requires two money rocks (10k for first debt, 12k for spending money at Nookling Junction) It will take 10 days for the shop to upgrade, in the meantime use those 10 days to improve your town approval rating
You can improve your approval rating by pulling weeds (+1% per weed) doing chores for villagers (+3% each completed chore per villager) writing on the bulletin board (+3% one time) and changing the town tune/flag (+3% each, One time only). Introducing yourself to villagers increases town approval by 1%, continuing a conversation increases approval by 3%, and playing each day also contributes to town approval (+3%).
The fastest I've found to gain approval was this: change the town tune, change the town flag, and write something on the bulletin board. Then talk to 3 villagers, make sure you actually chat with them, for 7 days. Pulling weeds is also fast. Just make sure you get at least 12 points a day for about a week.
NOTE: Don't even try to raise your rating further until Isabelle has said you've reached at least 10% approval. It anything before that point doesn't count towards 100%.
After you get 100% approval, sit in the mayor's chair and let Isabelle tell you what your mayoral duties are. If Nookling Junction hasn't been upgraded, go forward 10 days from the day you spent 12k at the store, and go forward 2 days. The next day Shrunk should be at your door. Get the 6 signatures and then talk to him on Main Street.
Travel one day at a time 4 days from the starting date. Be sure to allow one Saturday from the time you send in the signatures. Set the clock to the next Saturday.
Example: Say you hand in the signatures on a the 11th, a Thursday. Travel to the 12th, (Friday) then the 13th (Saturday) then the 14th (Sunday). Now travel to the 20th (Saturday) and Club LOL should be unlocked.
After you get the prompt that says Club LOL was built, head over to Main Street and enter the Club, talk to K.K. Slider.
